"I'm Alright" beautifully captures the humor, delights, despairs, exultations, doldrums, struggles and everything in between of being a female teen. These stories cast stereotypes aside and ask you to step, jump, tumble, leap and fall in their shoes.

Meet The Ensemble

All about the ladies of "I'm Alright."

Amelia Hillery

"Kate"
Amelia Hillery is a junior at cleveland high school. She has been acting since the age of three, first seen starring in Winnie the Pooh as Piglet. Since then she has been doing other shows around town and learning as much as she possibly can about theatre.

Tirza Meuljic

"Paris"
Tirza is excited to be performing in her first show with Enso Theatre Ensemble. When she's not on stage, Tirza can be found with her nose in a book, making her friends and family laugh, or binge watching "Criminal Minds." Tirza would like to thank her incredible family and friends for supporting her dreams unconditionally.

Abbey Wilusz

"Jillian"
Abbey Wilusz is a junior at Cleveland High school, where she absolutely loves being a part of the Company of Warriors, and starring in shows such as Finnegan’s, The Philadelphia, The Vagina Monologues, and Oh Dad, Poor Dad, Mama’s Hung You in the Closet and I’m Feeling So Sad. When she’s not onstage, Abbey can be found managing the Cleveland High Football team or watching any crime-themed TV show. I’m Alright will be her first production outside of the Company of Warriors, and she is absolutely thrilled to share this experience with such an incredible group of young women.

Sophie Foti

"Erin"
Sophie is thrilled to be in her first production with Enso Theater Ensemble. Sophie majored in theater and minored in dance at Converse College before continuing her training at the Portland Actors Conservatory, where she recently graduated. Some of her acting credits include, Sense & Sensibility (Elinor), The Amish Project (Velda), Legally Blonde: The Musical (Whitney), Rumplestilskin (Juniper), and Peter Pan (Lost Boy). 

Anais Lowe

"Erica"
Anaïs Lowe is a sophomore in Portland and has always loved the dramatic arts. Her favorite role she has played thus far is Beth in Little Women. She thanks Enso Theatre Ensemble and her parents for encouraging her to pursue her passions.

Ella Devito

"Clarisse"
Ella DeVito is a Cleveland High school junior. Ella has been casted in Fiddler On The Roof, LoL, Stage Door, as well as being a part of one acts performed at Cleveland High school. Outside of her school Ella has performed in a Revels Theater production, as well as Stages Theater productions. Ella has also worked on a web series and a few films, The Misselthwaite Archives, itime Travel, Off-Day, and Losing it. But enough about her, she would like to thank you for coming to this production and hopes you enjoy I'm Alright!

Morgan Demetre

"Shannon"
Morgan is a sophmore at Cleveland Highschool. She is portland based actress. Her favorite shows you might of seen her in is Chrysalis at OCT, and Les Miserables as Cosette. While she isn't onstage she loves spending time with her lovely friends, finding the most obscure musicals to listen to and obsess over, she also loves to draw. She would like to thank her agents over at Ryan Artists, her Voice coach Rick Lewis, Matthew Zrebski, and her friends and family. 

Kira Marshall

"Dana"
Kira is a senior at Cleveland High School. She is always working on different theater shows and considers herself a theater workaholic. When she's not doing theater she can be found singing or doing improv.

Julia Rehmann

"Emily"
Julia Rehmann is a sophomore at Cleveland High School. This will be her first production outside of school and she is incredibly excited to share that experience with such an amazing group of girls. She'd like to thank Enso Theater and Isabele for this awesome opportunity.

Rosemary Allison-Brown

"Marisa"
Rosemary is a Junior at Cleveland High School. For the past few years, she has been actively involved in the Cleveland theater department. She has participated in many productions, including (but not limited to,) stage managing for the production of Les Misérables, and acting in shows such as Pounding Nails Into The Floor With My Forehead and LOL; A Modern Computer Farce. She hopes to one day find a career as an actress in film, but she also wouldn't mind being an environmental studies major. She hopes you enjoy our production of I'm Alright!!

Meet The Design Ensemble

Isabele McTighe

Director
Isabele McTighe is a senior at Cleveland High School in Southeast, Portland. Through school she has directed, acted in, and managed numerous plays and events. She is also a member of the school's artistic board. Isabele is currently directing her second annual production of The Vagina Monologues which will open in February. She first worked with Enso as production assistant on Pride and Prejudice, and is thrilled to be joining them now to direct I'm Alright. 

Tim Fodge

Set & Props
Tim is a native of Newberg, where he received his Bachelor Of Arts in theater from George Fox University. Tim would like to thank Enso for the opportunity to work on this great show, and thank his lovely wife Liz for supporting him.

Kay Lowe

Costumes
Kay Lowe is a senior at Cleveland High School. Aside from a love for theatre design, Kay is a visual artist and can usually be found drawing or chatting with friends (often both). She is excited to be working with the team and mentors of "I'm Alright" and hopes to learn and grow as a designer through her work on this show. She thanks Isabele McTighe and Enso for giving her the opportunity to work on costumes here.

Quinland Thompson

Lights
This is Quinland's first show as a lighting designer. He is a recent graduate of isinglass's Egg program, where he had the opportunity to learn more about theater and design. He's very excited to be working with Enso on "I'm Alright"!

London Bauman

Sound
London is a Theatre student at PSU who has been a multi-instrument musician for ten years. He is excited to tackle sound design for the first time and is thankful to Caitlin and Enso for giving him the opportunity. 

Sydney Heim

Stage Manager
Hi, I'm Sydney Heim, I've been working in tech theatre for a year now with companies like Staged!, Triangle, and Lakewood Center for the Arts. I'm super excited to get to work on this project and I am so thankful to get to work with such a great company and director.

Meet The Mentors

Caitlin Lushington

Artistic Director
Caitlin Lushington received her B.A. in Drama from the University of California, Irvine, where she was the first student to achieve honors in both acting and directing. She has been a teaching artist with the Oregon Conservatory of Performing Arts, NorthWest Children's Theatre and the Castro Valley Dramatic Arts Academy, among others. In 2013 Caitlin was the assistant director for the regional premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher and King John at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. As an actress Caitlin was most recently seen with the Ashland New Plays Festival, with the Third Rail Mentorship Company, and as Rosalind in "As You Like It". As a director, Caitlin's most recent work was her adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride & Prejudice," which premiered in the summer of 2016 with Enso Theatre. She has studied and practicted meditation for the last 7 years and passionately injects mindfulness and wellness in all of her work. Caitlin is a firm believer in taking time to breathe, and the motto, "One day at a time."

Jordan Mackey

Production Manager
Jordan Mackey studied theatre at the University of California, Riverside. He has worked on scores of shows with over a dozen companies all along the West Coast, from local childrens' theatre to large-budget union productions. With experience from lighting, scenic and costume design, to stage management, production management and education, to acting, directing and writing, Jordan works hard to be well-versed in all artistic languages of the performing arts. Credits include work with OCPA, UC Riverside, CSU San Bernadino, Castro Valley High School, Golden State Theatre, Golden Mean Players, Pacific Coast Rep Theatre, Castro Valley Dramatic Art Academy, Randall Theatre, North Medford High, Stony Point High, Fox Theatre, and of course, Enso Theatre Ensemble.

Gordon Romei

Sound Mentor
Gordon designed his first show in 1985, and is starting to think he might be getting the hang of it.  He's worked with many well-regarded Portland theatre companies over the past ten years, and is grateful to begin a new chapter with a focus on educational projects and groups. Gordon's work has been enjoyed from Seattle to San Diego, and he is happy to remain a West Coast-based artist.

PRE-SHOW ENTERTAINMENT

​Nora Burkhartsmeier is a singer-songwriter and high school student at Cleveland who has been writing her own music since the age of 12. Her music is influenced by everything from Billie Holiday to Sara Bareilles. She has played at venues around Portland such as Mississippi Pizza and The Kennedy School. Nora wants to have a career in music and is planning to start her first recording project in the coming new year.

Jett Lascurettes is one of our Gallery Artists. From the artist: "I'm Jett Lascurettes and I have
​been drawing most of my life. I like playing dungeons and dragons and creating my own characters.
I probably draw for four hours each day. I'm not really decided on my art style so I'm always
changing it. I dislike most of my drawings but sometimes I'll find a diamond in the rough like my
​pieces here".

Jane Walker is our other Gallery Artist! From her: "I'm a girl who values the human experience, and I love to tell stories. With a webcomic at age 13 and a published illustrator by age 15, I have a strong drive for art and storytelling. I dream of creating a children's cartoon".
